Punjab bans printing of holy Sikh book by private persons

The [tag]Punjab[/tag] Council of Ministers in a meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today approved the law for prevention of printing, publication, storage, distribution and sale of Birs of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, the [tag]holy book[/tag] of the [tag]Sikh[/tag]s by private persons except Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee ( [tag]SGPC[/tag]) or its authorized persons.

25,000 Sikhs gherao dera

An estimated 25,000 Sikhs are reported to have assembled at Salabetpura, a dera of Sacha Sauda in Punjab near Bathinda, according to indian television channels.
