Punjab CM’s yatra enters third day

On the 3rd day of Punjab Vikas Yatra, Capt. Singh covered a total distance of 119 KM starting from village Rama and finally terminated at Kotkapura via Bilaspur, Lohara, Taktoopura Sahib, Dhoorkot Ranseenh, Nihalsinghwala, Jawaharsinghala, Patto Hira Singh, Khai, Dina Sahib in Nihalsinghwala constituency, Kangar, Dialpura, Bhaika Jalal, Gurusar, Hamirgarh, Bhagta Bhaika, Siriewala in Rampura Phul constituency, Dod, Bajja Khanna, Lambwali, Gundara, Bargari, Behbai Kalan, Gurusar, Srawan, Dhilwan Kalna and Kotkapura in Kotkapura constituency.
Enthused by the bumper crop of cotton with the introduction of BT cotton by Capt. Singh a group of cotton growers alongwith their family members thanked him with plucked cotton in their hands at village Dina Sahib. Capt. Singh stopped his convoy to meet a handicapped person in a wheel chair across the road side and gave a financial grant of Rs.11000 in cash at village Gundara. At village Srawan two elephants decked with flowers gave a royal salute to Capt. Singh. When the rally reached at the final destination on the last leg of third day at Kotkapura the entire town was illuminated and crackers were busted and the atmosphere gave a feeling of Diwali being celebrated in the town. At most of the places people offered their greetings to Capt. Singh by shaking hands with him and also distributed ladoos at many places and dance to the beats of Dhol.
Capt. Singh was accompanied by President PPCC Shamsher Singh Dullo, President Punjab Youth Congress Vijayinder Singla, Industries Minister Avtar Henry, Revenue Minister Jasjit Singh Randhawa, Hans Raj Josan, State Minister for Forest, Ashwani Sekhri and Sadhu Singh Dharmshot (both Parliamentary Secretaries), Gurpreet Singh Kangar, MLA, Mr.Darshan Singh Brar, Dr.Malti Thapar and Mr.Sukhdev Singh Dhillon (all ex-Ministers) Col.Babu Singh, President DCC Moga besides the senior leaders and party workers.
