World war veterans to get financial aid
The Punjab Govt. would provide financial aid to the World-War-II veterans also as other war veterans were also being provided financial aid to the tune of Rs. 50.00 lac every year by the Small Savings Department.
Disclosing this here today, Brig.J.S. Jaswal, Director Sainik Welfare Punjab said that this aid would be provided to the needy beneficiaries of World War-II on the basis of their present financial condition. In this regard the needy beneficiaries having age more than 85 years and their widows having age more than 80 years, could send their applications to the concerned District Sainik Welfare offices upto 10 th November, 2006.
He added that this financial aid would be offered in a state level function to 100 beneficiaries as one time help of Rs. 50,000/- each by the Small Savings Department.
